History

The Sawle family have been living at and running Beacon Cottage Farm since 1770. We started taking visitors here in 1910 with guests staying in the farm house for B&B. In 1927 old busses and furniture removal wagons were kitted out and used to accommodate holiday makers. This gradually progressed into camping as tents, motor homes and caravans became available.

The camping park has been designed around a central yard by the farmhouse with original farm buildings converted into shower facilities, laundry, dishwashing and reception.

As far as we are aware Beacon Cottage Farm is the oldest campsite in Cornwall.
