Camping at Beacon Cottage Farm

An Idyllic Location

Beacon Cottage Farm Holidays is part of a traditional Cornish family farm. We are situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coast. In 2014 the area was awarded The Dark Skies Status. The Southwest Coast Path passes our door at Wheal Coates, the site of Cornwall’s most iconic tin mine as seen in the popular BBC Poldark television series. Giving direct access to some of the finest sea and coastal scenery in Cornwall.

A haven for walkers, conservationists, photographers, bird and nature watchers. The farm is a mixture of beef and arable of approximately 650 acres with a home bred herd of cows and calves, sheep and chickens. We are 10 minutes’ walk from the National Trusts Chapel Porth Beach with its spectacular unspoilt sandy cove offering excellent bathing and surfing, caves to explore and delightful shallow rock pools for little children to play in.

The Perfect Base

The small picturesque village of St.Agnes is just a short drive away or you can walk along a scenic footpath that runs through fields and by the foot of St.Agnes Beacon. In St.Agnes you are well catered for with excellent butchers, bakers, grocers, green grocers, quality craft shops, pubs and restaurants.

For the energetic there are many leisure activities nearby including surfing, bathing, horse riding, fishing, gliding, sailing, golf and tennis or you can just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful location.

St.Agnes is an ideal centre for touring Cornwall with the beautiful cathedral city of Truro just 10 miles away and The Eden Project, Maritime Museum, Lost Gardens Of Heligan and The Tate Gallery within easy reach.

Our family has worked the farm for many generations and we have welcomed visitors here since 1927. We look forward to welcoming you to Beacon Cottage Farm and to this very special part of Cornwall.
